Ionian Idyll: Sailing amongst Greece’s Ionian Islands

To sail in the Ionian, one needs to fly into Preveza a small airport on the mainland of Greece very near to the island of Lefkas.  Our yacht share is moored at Sivota which is a charming little village with a beautiful bay is also on Lefkas; a taxi ride takes about fifty minutes.

In early January 2018 I was again invited to see Mahindra World City near Chennai; it continues to flourish and there have been further additions to the whole place since our visit in February 2015. There are plans now for a similar MWC in northern Tamil Nadu, and adjacent to Ahmedabad, and probably some other strategic locations.

Andros, Greece’s Northern most Cycladic Island

Simply put, Andros is lovely and is easily reached by ferry from Rafina 20 minutes east of the city of Athens.   There are regular bus services from the International Airport of Athens to coincide with the ferries.  Our ferry only took two hours and left us at the port of Gavrio.

Incredible WTM!

This years WTM was an incredilbe success with India as the official permier partner and 50,000 delegates negotiating 2.5 billion pounds in business deals.  Reduced to 3 days it was slicker, more efficient and more productive than ever.
